Meet Shelly

Known to some as Michelle, to others as Shel or Shelly, anything but Pastor 🙂 – ‘she’ was called into full time ministry in her 30’s having had a successful career which involved leadership and management within the private, public and charities sector. Shelly has been Lead Pastor of Nantwich Elim Church, in the North West for over a decade and is an ordained minister within the Elim Pentecostal Church Movement. Shelly has served the movement as a member of its Ministerial Selection Board, Arbitration Board, the Minister in Training Development Team and North West Regional Team. In May 2022 she was elected as a member of Elim’s National Leadership Team.

Shelly has had the privilege and responsibility of leading Nantwich Elim since 2011 and oversees Regents Park which is home to Nantwich Elim Church, its Conference Accommodation and Cafe plus Regents Business Park which is now home to an amazing 45 businesses. Shelly has represented Faith Groups on statutory safeguarding boards, and is a Trustee for the Elim Pentecostal Movement as well as the Womens Interfaith Network. Formerly, she was a hospital Chaplain for 7 years, Chair of the local Church Council and Mayors Chaplain. Shelly has an MA in Practical and Contextual Theology and is undertaking research on the discipleship of equals.

Shelly enjoys pastoring, speaking and writing believing that we have been made for communion with Creator God, companionship with Jesus and one another as we collaborate with the Holy Spirit for the common good. She is passionate about seeing people enjoy fullness of life and fulfilling their God-given calling, building healthy community and supporting those working in public service or the market place.
